Phones For Food Program
Donate your cell phone and help support food banks!

Since its launch in 2003, the Phones for Food Program has generated over $600,000 for the food bank community across Canada and diverted approximately 400,000 wireless devices from landfills.
The Phones for Food program collects phones in two ways- the first through phones sent in via postage paid envelopes included in boxes of new wireless handsets sold in Rogers Wireless and Fido outlets. Phones are also collected for recycling or refurbishing at approximately 1,000 Rogers Wireless and Fido locations.
Donating is easy- simply drop off your phone at your nearest Rogers or Fido store or send in your old phone in the prepaid Rogers envelope when you purchase your new Rogers phone.
Recycle Your Phone and Reduce Hunger- It's Easy!
Fido and Rogers Wireless are the national wireless sponsors for the Phones for Food program. In partnership with Food Banks Canada the program diverts waste from landfills and helps alleviate hunger by raising funds for local food banks across Canada.
Here are 3 ways to donate your used phone and make a difference:
- Drop your phone off at any Fido or Rogers store.
- Place your used phone in the postage-paid recycling envelope included in most new Fido and Rogers phone boxes and drop it in any mailbox.
- Download and print the postage-paid mailing label which you can affix to your own envelope or box and drop it into any mailbox.
That's all there is to it!
