Large food manufacturers such as Kraft Canada, Kelloggs, Canada Dry Motts, General Mills, General Mills, P&G, Pfanner and many more, donate large quantities of food to FBC.
FBC distributes the food to provincial associations according to the hunger count that is done on a yearly basis. The provincial associations then distribute the food to member food banks throughout their province according to the hunger count.
Because of the vastness of BC, FBBC has 4 main hubs:
The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society covers the Lower Mainland
The Mustard Food Bank in Victoria covers the Island
The Vernon Food Bank covers the Interior
The 100 Mill House Food Bank covers Northern BC
These hubs then distribute the food to the food banks in their area.
