The BC SHARING Program is a program owned, operated and supported by Food Banks British Columbia.

It provides a simple way for consumers to support their local food bank that is a member of Food Banks British Columbia.

How the program works:

BC Sharing coupons in $2 denominations are available for purchase at participating grocery store checkouts.

They are supplied to local grocery retailers through Food Banks British Columbia.  Each grocery store is paired with a food bank in their area that is a member of Food Banks British Columbia.  Participating stores include:  Thrifty Foods, Fairway Markets, Overwaitea/Save-on-foods, IGA, Cooper Markets, Canada Safeway, Extra Foods and The Real Canadian Superstore.

Shoppers are encouraged to purchase one or more BC Sharing coupon from the display available at the checkout.  The coupon is scanned like a food purchase and the amount is added to the shopper’s purchase total.  Each participating retailer will reimburse purchased coupons via a grocery store gift certificate or credit program to the local food bank who is a member of the Food Banks British Columbia.
